Derek Dudek (President)

Hey everyone! My name’s Derek Dudek and I’m running to be next year’s Student Council President. Over my years here at Edison High, I’ve been involved in quite a few things around school: Marching Band (clarinet), Football (2 years wide receiver/special teams), Bowling (3 year varsity starter), Volleyball (2 years/middle blocker), Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band (1st chair clarinet/saxophone), Eagle’s Eye, and 4 AP classes. Although I don’t have recent student council experience some other candidates may have (I’ll do you a favor and not count 5th grade PR officer)vc, I’ve been to as many schools events as possible the past few years (every dodgeball & volleyball for charity, hallway decorating, etc.), plus community volunteering (ex. food shelters, assisted living homes). With that list, I don’t mean to brag in any way. I’d simply like to let you know that I’m more than prepared to address any of your needs. I’m dedicated to this school, willing to do whatever it takes to make it the best place for you in 2024-25.

P.S. If I couldn’t find you to give cookies/candy this past week, more good stuff will be on the way for you when (sorry, “if”) I’m elected. And my first plan of action: Keeping the bathrooms open.
