In his time at EHS, Khatri has been very involved with the band and has been ever since fourth grade. Khatri finds music an amazing platform to express himself. Khatri is an award-winner for the Jazz Ensemble and part of the Wind Ensemble, where he plays the flute and piccolo. He has also been one of the drum majors for the Marching Band since his junior year. He’s led the Marching Band to win one national and two state championships. Along with that, Khatri is the Tri-M Music Honors Society president, NHS Secretary, and is in both the Math and French Honors Society.

Outside of EHS, Khatri is involved in KYA (Kshatriya Youth Association), where they encourage children to bring out their talents and motivate them not to be afraid to pursue their goals.

Khatri appreciates the EHS community, and he especially thanks the band community and the support that he has received from the multiple ensembles he is a part of in achieving Senior of the Month.

After graduation, Khatri intends to pursue a major in aerospace engineering at Rutgers University and pursue his passion for music by minoring in jazz performance.

To the incoming freshman, Khatri advises “Always do whatever you want for your own reason and don’t be influenced by other people.”
