Our first athlete of the week is Carmela Arana ‘28 on the girls basketball team. In a game against North Brunswick, she had ten points, five rebounds, and three steals. In a game against Woodbridge, she had sixteen points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Only in her first basketball season, Arana continues to be a key player, having 234 points, 90 rebounds, and 54 steals this season.

Samaparaboyina Shoots

Our second athlete of the week is Dheeraj Samaparaboyina ‘26 on the boys basketball team. In a recent match against North Plainfield, Samaparaboyina had seventeen points, three rebounds, and two assists. Additionally, in a game against JFK, he had twenty-six points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Throughout the season, Samaparaboyina has 252 points, 70 rebounds, and 29 steals.

Shriaditi Kancherla is currently a sophomore and an editor for the Features section, and has written for the publication since her freshman year. In addition to the "Eagle's Eye", she is the co-chair for the Rotary club and is a dedicated member of the marching band, DECA, and Peacock Society. During her free time, she enjoys reading, binge-watching Food Network, and singing. She is excited to meet the rest of "The Eagle's Eye" throughout the year!
