Over Holiday Season, Edison High students prepared intricate wall decorations to get in the holiday spirit. The students spent hours throughout November competing for the best wall.
This year, seniors placed first with their detailed Inside Out wall, solidifying their streak of winning two years in a row before their graduation in June. This wall consisted of unique concepts, including orbs containing pictures from memories throughout the seniors’ past years in high school, and a 3-D table to represent the control panel from Headquarters, where all the main emotions control Riley’s emotions.
“There’s a nice group effort that comes into the class as a whole when we’re competing with other grades, and everyone worked pretty cooperatively with each other,” said Rukaiya Fazle ‘25.
“I am incredibly proud of the Class of 2025 for taking first prize two years in a row,” said Ms. Sinyee Muglia, the class co-advisor. “This is a memorable EHS tradition, part of Battle of Classes. It just shows that this class showed up to earn great memories of their high school experience, and demonstrates incredible character and leadership.”
Juniors placed second with their representation of Tangled, which portrayed significant scenes in the movie, such as the floating lantern scene. The wall is a chronological retelling of Disney’s classic through visuals.
The freshmen placed third, with their representation of the Eagles Express. The train was a spin-off of the renowned classic The Polar Express. With principal Mr. Charles Ross as commander, and a myriad of paper snowflakes that adorned the walls all around the train, the freshmen this year really brought the Christmas spirit!
Sophomores placed fourth, decorating their wall Hollywood style, featuring a walk of fame dedicated to the teachers and a design resembling the sets of the Hollywood stars. With the inclusion of characters from the well-known classic movies of American cinema, the sophomore class brought some movie magic to this beloved tradition here at Edison High.
