Vice President of Rotary, President of the Music Honors Society, President of the Class of ‘25 Class Council and Section Leader for the EHS Marching Band, Sylvia Wu ‘25, has earned the title of Rotary’s June Senior of the Month.

Wu attributes her success in high school to her commitment to all of her extracurricular activities. Additionally, she expresses gratitude to the staff at EHS, including many teachers, counselors, and advisors, whom she credits with shaping her into the person she is today.

Wu recalls her favorite moments at EHS to be playing stand tunes in the bleachers during football games and collaborating with her classmates in school spirit events, such as Hallway Decorating and Battle of the Classes, which she says made her high school experience the best it could be. She also expresses how she will miss the familiarity and comfort she has found in the people she has met and collaborated with throughout her high school career.

After graduating, Wu plans to attend New York University’s Stern School of Business, where she plans to study Business Management. Following that, she aspires to pursue a corporate career with a focus on ethical business in either Human Management or Business Administration.

To future and current underclassmen, Wu emphasizes the importance of not overworking yourself and prioritizing health and overall well-being. She understands the need to do well in high school classes, but believes that physical health should come first.

“Don’t sacrifice your health and well-being for accomplishments,” Wu said.
