EMMA MERCADO ’28, Entertainment Editor
As a current sophomore at Edison High School, Emma Mercado Riaza is one of the staff’s entertainment editors. Her first piece was actually for the entertainment category, and she has expanded her writing ever since. The Kingda Ka piece that she wrote about the ride’s implosion reached some 2,000 views and was the number one trending story for a while, making this one of her proudest writing pieces. Outside of school and editor duties, Emma enjoys listening to music, spending time with her friends and family, and watching her favorite shows, like Gilmore Girls or The Summer I Turned Pretty.
