An avid member of the E-Sports Club and the Marching Band, Edwin Taba ‘25 has been awarded the honor of being Rotary’s December Senior of the Month.
Taba expresses his gratitude for the EHS community. He specifically highlights his thankfulness to his band teacher, Mr. Marc Denicuolo (“Deenie”), and Mr. Charles Ross for giving him numerous opportunities to shine and make his name heard in the EHS community. Taba also conveys his gratitude to the caring environment provided at EHS, whether that be through fellow students or staff.
Taba credits his dedication to the Marching Band over the past three years as a winning factor in earning this senior distinction. He recognizes the Marching Band as a key factor in who he has become as a person today, and more importantly, the student he has become over the years. Additionally, thanks to his commitment to the E-Sports Club at EHS, Taba has also earned the title of Arena Assistant.
Following his graduation from EHS, Taba aspires to go to NJIT to eventually get a Master’s degree in computer science. In regards to more long-term goals, Taba aims to get a job involving computer science after getting his degree.
To current and future underclassmen, Taba highlights the importance of getting to know your teachers. Building a strong relationship with the teaching staff at EHS is important to Taba. Not only this, but Taba also expresses the importance of self-skills, such as time management or organization.
To the underclassmen, “Stay on good terms with your teacher and don’t make an enemy out of yourself,” said Taba.
