Throughout the school year, all of EHS’s athletes have showcased commendable talent and dedication, enabling Edison High to celebrate numerous victories, foster school spirit, reach new heights, and break previous records. While balancing school with sports, these competitors have served as an inspiration to future athletes, establishing “what makes Edison High great”.
Now, as the spring season and the school year begin to wrap up, not two, but four athletes have been honored as Athlete of the Week. Split into two articles, The Eagle’s Eye will cover the last two athletes in this article. To celebrate the two other chosen athletes, read this article.
Innocenti Strikes
Playing baseball for EHS, our third athlete of the week is Dom Innocenti ‘26. Firstly, against St. Thomas Aquinas, he went two for three at the plate with four RBIS, allowing his team to win nine to one. Furthermore, at Middlesex, Innocenti went three for three, which pushed his team to success.
Furthermore, Innocenti is an adept pitcher, striking out five players against Old Bridge. His dexterity and expertise have bolstered EHS’s legacy, serving as a crucial player while allowing his team to reach the championships (which hasn’t happened since 2001).
DiBisceglie Bats
Fortifying her prowess and her softball team’s ability, Callie DiBisceglie ‘28 is our last athlete of the week. To start, against Old Bridge, she went one for three with a triple and an RBI. DiBisceglie also went four for four with two doubles against Monroe.
Throughout her season, she had an impressive batting average of .571, demonstrating her dexterity and aptitude. Overall, DiBisceglie’s enthusiasm and virtuosity motivate her team and Edison High to acquire victories.
