As the ‘25-’26 school year kicks off, Edison’s fall athletes have begun their season on a great note, showcasing victories, emboldening school spirit, and establishing “what makes Edison High great.” So, to celebrate EHS, two racers have been honored as Athletes of the Week.
Dantes Darts
Our first athlete of the week for the fall season and the school year is Annalise Dantes ‘26, an active member of EHS’s cross country team. At the Battle of Ocean County Park, she ran a team-best 21:01 in the 5K, placing 29th in the competition. With her new time, Dantes improved her previous 5K best by over two minutes and is now ranked seventh in the GMC, highlighting her experience and dominance in the sport.
Schneider Strides
Another cross-country runner, Niko Schneider ‘27, is our second athlete of the week. At the Battle of Ocean County Park, he ran the 5K in 16:53, which was another team best. With his record time, Schneider placed 21st, shattered his PR by almost a full minute, and promoted Edison to 10th overall in the event. Currently, Schneider is sixth in the GMC, which highlights his capability and determination.
