Throughout the summer and the beginning of the school year, all of EHS’s athletes have showcased dedication and commitment to their sport, allowing Edison to celebrate their numerous victories, foster school spirit, and inspire others. The two players who have been honored as Athletes of the Week have displayed both spirit and perseverance, and serve as role models to other student athletes..

Garland Tackles

Shaun Garland ‘27, our first athlete of the week, is a member of EHS’s football team. In the football game against North Brunswick, Garland made his first touchdown of the season, winning the game for Edison. During the game, he also had seven carries for 76 yards and six tackles total, demonstrating his skill.

Chandra Serves

Our second athlete of the week, Nandini Chandra ‘26, is on EHS’s girls tennis team. As of this season, Chandra has won against seven other teams: Sayreville, Old Bridge, Piscataway, JP Stevens, Monroe, JFK, and Old Bridge. She has also qualified for the State Singles Tournament, showcasing her dedication and experience in the sport.
