Altairi Wrestles
Our first athlete of the week is Ali Altairi ‘26 of the boys wrestling team.Altairi placed fourth at the GMC Tournament, a remarkable achievement for EHS. He has remained dominant throughout the season and continues to display his skill through numerous recent victories in the 150, 157, and 165-pound weight classes. In his final season as an Eagle, Altairi plays a major role on the team, securing pins through resilience and determination.
Kapo Jumps
Next up from the nest is a track and field athlete, Emina Kapo ‘27. Kapo is the first EHS athlete to complete a pentathlon, which includes a high jump, long jump, shot put, 60M hurdles, and an 800M run. Through many other notable performances, such as placing fifth in the 55-meter hurdles at the GMC Championships, Kapo’s contributions have displayed her versatility and critical impact on the team’s performance.
Tavarez Shoots
Our last athlete of the week is boys basketball player Ray Tavarez ‘27. In a matchup against Middlesex, Tavarez scored 25 points, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals, resulting in a season-high of 25 points. Overall, Tavarez has accumulated over 200 points and 100 rebounds thus far. He continues to bring passion and skill to the court as the winter season slowly comes to a close.
