Negron Wrestles
Recently achieving his hundredth career win at the East Brunswick Bear Tournament, our first Athlete of the Week is Jeremy Negron ‘26 of the wrestling team. Currently, Negron stands undefeated for the Edison team with twelve consecutive wins. He continues to be a pivotal athlete in his final season as an Edison wrestler.
Boateng Jumps
Coming off a school record-breaking performance with back-to-back personal records as well, our second Athlete of the Week is Kwadwo Boateng ‘27 of the track and field team. At the Demarest Invitational, Boateng broke the school record for a long jump with a mark of 44–0, and only two weeks later, he followed up this feat with a 44–6 mark at an Ocean Breeze meet. Boateng also hit a 6–2 high jump at the Demarest Invitational, earning him second place in his category. Thus far in his junior-year season, Boateng has propelled Edison with increasingly strong performances, and he continues to play a critical role in the team’s confidence and morale.
