Avellan Wrestles

Our first Athlete of the Week is Fernando Avellan ‘26, on the wrestling team. He recently reached 100 wins as an Edison wrestler. He has five wins, with pins over Montgomery, Hillsborough, New Brunswick, and East Brunswick. Avellan continues to be a key athlete in his last season at Edison High.

Samparaboyina Shoots

Our second Athlete of the Week is Dheeraj Samparaboyina ‘26, on the boys basketball team. Samparaboyina scored 24 points each in games against Timothy Christian and North Plainfield. In a game against South Brunswick, he had twelve points and six rebounds. With a season total of 93 points and 28 rebounds so far, Samparaboyina supports EHS as a leading player.
