Katara Strikes, Avellan Pins

Katara Strikes

Our first athlete of the week, Pooja Katara ‘24, is from the girls bowling team. Katara is a leader for her pair of lanes and helps lead the new athletes on the team. Recently, she placed eleventh out of 102 athletes in the GMC individual tournaments, and qualified twelfth overall. She has a high game of 232, a high series of 569, and, an average of 148. Katara has made progress from the previous season, being up nine pins. Katara continues to lead as an Eagle as her final season comes to an end.

Avellan Pins

Our second athlete of the week is Fernando Avellan ‘26 from the wrestling team. Recently, he was named “Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament.” Along with this huge honor, he won the GMC wrestling tournament for this season. Avellan continues to impress as the season comes to a close and he prepares for his next season.
