Esports member and dedicated choir member Prince Justin Ezechibueze ‘26 has earned the honor of Rotary’s October Senior of the Month.
Throughout his four years at EHS, Ezechibueze has been an active member of Esports, Choir, and the Yearbook Club. He is also involved in the Students of Strength Club, a Christian organization; the EHS Soar group, where he helps seniors navigate the college admissions process; and the Black Student Union.
Ezechibueze said that the feeling of ‘fitting in’ was the most rewarding part of his high school experience. After exploring the many opportunities EHS offers, he feels he has gained confidence and found where he belongs.
“I truly understand the difference between adjusting yourself to your surroundings from already being what a certain club or group is looking for,” said Ezechibueze.
Ezechibueze attributes much of his growth to his teachers, who have helped him develop both academically and professionally. He specifically credits his math teachers, Ms. Rasimowicz, Ms. Logan-Wydrinski, and Ms. McKnight, and AP Physics teacher, Ms. Kruti Singh, for helping him develop healthy study habits. He also thanks his sophomore English teacher, Ms. Aimee Baer, for helping refine his writing skills and prepare for the SAT.
After graduation, Ezechibueze plans to attend college to study biomedical engineering and aspires to pursue a career in the field or enroll in medical school.
Ezechibueze stresses the importance of perseverance and hard work. He advises underclassmen to believe in themselves, be kind, and put in the necessary effort to achieve their goals.
“Don’t limit yourself because of what others might say, or because of your grades in a certain class, or anything,” Ezechibueze said. “If you truly believe and put the effort in, then you’ll succeed. I know it sounds cliché, but it’s true.”
